Today went to Hartamas Shopping Centre twice... both unplanned.
Lunch dah janji dgn HA & NAMN... was supposed to go to SouledOut but birthday *boy* nak makan soto. So off we went to Aji Don. I pun suka je soto kat situ :) Orang sangat ramai... and we had to wait for drinks because tak cukup gelas. Tapau-ed more soto for Mama... since she's still having difficulty eating and she likes them.
Petang, ada 3 crises...
One was in relation to a programme that we're working on. Assigned task was not carried out and now dah tergopoh-gapah nak kena buat. Ish... tak berkenan betul when orang tak carry out their responsibility. Dari awal lagi I dah concerned abt ability to carry out what they're supposed to do... semua pun nak buat. Now, kan dah susahkan orang. Kalau tak boleh tu, janganlah kata boleh. Sekarang dah nak kena manage issue pulak. Dah lah ditinggalkan begitu saje without instructions and clear communication to the people yg under supervision. What lar...
Two was nothing major lah. Cuma suddenly ada one country nak hantar 12 additional delegates for an event that we're organising next week. Tak pernah dibuat orang... selalu hantar max pun 4 delegates, ni sampai 16 in total!! Satu kampung dihantarnya. Takpelah... diorang baru set up the agency. Agaknya semua eager nak berinteraksi dengan wakil2 negara lain.
Three was a major thing involving lots of money with serious implications. Ni pun satu lagi case yang *dah nak berak baru gali lubang*. And it's a big $#!t. QIA came to me at 6.20pm and informed of the situation. The impact if not addressed today will become a serious issue tomorrow. Nasib baiklah I still have people around in the office who can do the necessary. Had to call relevant people from 3 other depts, ask for their help... all to help cover orang lain punya $#!t. It's not QIA's fault... dia pun terjebak since he's the main contact. Bersusah payah we usaha nak tolong those people, then at 7.40pm, when we've identified all the things that need to be done and nak complete kan all that's necessary... they tell us, tak jadi lah pulak. What the @*^%? haaa... kan dah buat my blood go upstairs. Sungguh tak professional and menyusahkan orang betul.
Nasib baik lah I've got resourceful and helpful people with me... they did what was necessary, with VERY short notice, smooth teamwork and cooperation... not a word of complaint. Well... adalah the *aiyaa* and *laaaa* but that was it. All of us were tak puas hati lah... but we were unified in our tak puas hati-ness towards those people. But sesama kita, a great team. I'm very proud and happy :)
Lepas dah penat2 meng-manage those things, I went home. Masuk rumah tengok Mama tengah getting dressed up. "Nak pergi mana?" I asked sambil menggendong soto yang dibeli tadi.
"Nak pergi cari pancake" kata Mama.
"Nak ikut lah..." so off I went to Hartamas Shopping Centre for the second time today. Dah lama tak pergi Paddington House of Pancake (took me a while to figure out what PHOP was, hehe). They've got a new and extended menu now... so took a while to decide what to have. Choices... choices...
After all that, I'm exhausted. Supposed to go through a speech but am so not in the mood to do it. I know... procrastination is an evil thing, but I'd like to go to bed feeling calm and relaxed. And reviewing a speech will not provide me with such state of mind... lagipun it's almost midnight
