back on land...

Thought about writing more between Taipei - LA, but I ended up sleeping for most of the flight. In fact, I fell asleep while watching The Simpsons movie ;) Had a good sleep in fact... siap bermimpi (but I can't quite remember what it was about). The stewardess gently called out my name (perks of flying business, hehe) to pass out the warm towel as they were about to serve brunch just over an hour before we were due to land in LA.

It was bright outside... berbeza dengan inside the cabin yang gelap and meng-invite slumber. The flight ada sikit2 turbulence... the pilot asked us to keep our seatbelt on. Mula2 terjaga2 bila the *ding* alarm berbunyi, then dah tak sedar dah.



Immigration was trouble free (as compared to the last time I was in LA... Abg had to isi more forms and interview... waited for 2 hours masa tu) and my bags were already waiting at the carousel. The only trouble I had was bila nak call the shuttle to the hotel. The number listed at the courtesy phone was no longer in service. Had to cari info desk, get some change and finally make that 1800 number call. Kenapa lah tak ingat that the waiting area was just outside (duh!). Lama juga spend time mencari and tunggu... by then dah gelap walaupun it was only 4.30pm. Winter lah katakan...

Checked into Courtyard by Marriott... yg dijumpa melalui Expedia. For just US10 extra, it's a much nicer hotel than HoJo (where we stayed the last time). Complete with free internet... hence this entry :)



Took a nice loooooong warm shower, scrubbing away all the grime and dead skin cells. Now I feel squeaky clean and refreshed. There's a California Pizza Kitchen around the corner but I'm too lazy to go out. So dinner ialah makanan ruji Malaysian bila travelling... mee maggi :)

Early morning tomorrow... flight to Houston at 8am. Time to hit that large fluffy bed...
